I've tried many things and the graphics stutter for me on Linux with 352.21 Nvidia Driver. Other games run perfectly and this game's graphics doesn't seem so tough for me, at least nothing my machine couldn't handle. When I enter, the intro is stuttering and in the game Gaulen moves like a brick. Combat is very slow and I don't know why. Please help me solve this issue, I really want to play, but this is insane. It also tells me in the terminal that there is a bad variable name and a Gtk not found, using built-in colorscheme.

Does your system support using integrated graphics? If so, try using them (and not your discrete graphics card) and see if the problem persists.

I've tried almost everything. Almost is a good word, because something is definitely missing. I installed many packages, and when I run the bash command sudo ./start.sh it says:
Running Lords of Xulima
sh: 1: export: Xulima/Lords: bad variable name
Detected configuration: Linux / Mono
Generating Ilumination Buffer: {X=0,Y=0,Width=1920,Height=1080}

I unfortunately don't have a solution, but you should NEVER, *never* use sudo when starting a game. It opens up your system to damage from bugs in the game (or intentionally malicious code) and should never be necessary. (If it is ever necessary, it should be treated as a bug and reported to the game's developer.)

In fact, you really should only use sudo when you actually know and understand what you are doing. Misuse can harm your system and even render it unbootable. It can also lead to security issues.

Thank you very much, I only have this problem now, when starting, and I think it will solve this:
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "unity-gtk-module"
If I ever should find a reason to make it work, this would be it. Searched the net, nothing new. Maybe someone here knows the answer and I can finally play. :)
I am still experiencing choppiness with LoX in 2018. The intro movies are extremely choppy and in game is also quite choppy, despite very low GPU utilization (~10% with a 1080 Ti).

My system very comfortably exceeds the recommended specs for LoX, so this just seems like a bug.

Did anybody end up finding a solution or find themselves unaffected by this on Linux?
