Encountered some more weirdness with the native Linux build, it's not related to any particular version AFAIK. Installed and ran perfectly on an 8C8T Zen 2 part on Ubuntu Linux with minimal CPU usage alongside OBS, however on reboot the game is now running at over 500% aka more than 5 cores at all times, and it chugs along at slower than 1x speed totally unplayable. Sound is now broken at boot for the entire OS but it can be fixed manually. The only change made between reboot was installing the game and the OS has had no prior problems of any sort. Persistent across reboots, running OBS simultaneously or not makes no difference. Earlier versions and using the alternate timing do not fix anything, nor does wiping the save directory or transferring the save directory from my latop.

The game remains fully functional at 30-50% of a single core on my much less powerful quad core Linux laptop.

edit: It seems there are a few others that encounter a similar issue unrelated to OS: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1282730/discussions/0/3113648819421512545/

edit edit: The sound was not the fault of the game but a regression in the kernel that doesn't repopulate HDMI audio once it's been disconnected. Before LH I only used this machine headless so didn't know of the issue.

I can't speak for the linux version but under windows the CPU usage is between 1.5% and 2.2% for Loop Hero for my 3700X 8 Core CPU. Is the CPU bug already fixed for the Linux Version or still an issue?
It's still an issue for my Ryzen 4700U system but I'm not convinced it's exclusive to Linux, just rare. There are reports from mac and windows users too, and it happens to me with the windows binary through wine and a VM on the 4700U system. Didn't happen until a reboot, but now that it's happened it happens with every version released on GoG. My Kaby Lake system has never had the issue.

Trawled through recent reports on steam to see how rare and to look for correlations, at least it's not super rare so there's a chance it'll get looked into:
