Hi,

I have a German cover mag version of Loom supposed to be the VGA (floppy) version. I have since patched it up with the Roland MT-32 patch and it works fine under DOSBox and the music stuff now goes through my hardware (!) Roland MT-32 (and quite beautifully so :-)). Although it does not show under options when running Loom.exe with the /? parameter it nevertheless works if you run it as 'loom r'.

I am sorry, was a bit confused. My version is supposed to be VGA but looks decidedly EGA.

Cheers

Indeed, only EGA version was published in Germany. You probably have the Bestseller Games edition, right?

Hi,

When I type Loom /? I also get VGA as an alternative. However. I am fairly sure that it was not any Bestseller Games edition. It may have been PC Joker or things that followed from the heritage but as I said I would still have to check ;-). (As I said I am not sure :-).)

Ah, this option is just for the interpreter. In that case it tries to send VGA signals to the graphic card, but in that case it just remaps EGA colors to VGA. All the graphics are still EGA and have 16 colours instead of 256 as in VGA.
