I know GOG Galaxy would solve this situation, but I still find this launcher too basic and in need of much refinement (to the point where I can't even get past the login sometimes when I give it another chance to the launcher).

I wanted to know why there is no offline installer version of the second game because it would really be much more practical (and I still think so today) to have only the installer on the computer instead of downloading the whole buggy GOG launcher."

There actually is a offline installer version of the game. Just look the game up in your library and you'll find the offline data right below the gog galaxy download button on the game's detail page – you need to expand it though.
