This game is so unstable I just purchased it and i couldn't even complete one hole. Considering this is considered one of the best golf games ever I am super upset & disappointed. I tried running this game myself with my own copy on win 10 but sadly it wouldn't run so I figured I'd support GOG and try their version but nope. Still unrealistically unstable even with disabling settings that were recommended in these forums. i can play a hole in practice but after each shot the game goes unresponsive and looks like its going to crash. Otherwise the game just shuts down completely outright which is even worse.

Until this game doesn't crash anymore i'm going to go use a virtual machine again sadly thank you.

A virtual machine? That fixes this?! I use virtualbox, will it work with that?

On a virtual machine you can sometimes pick cpu type, may be useful to slow it down, but don't know. Also uses 32-bit settings for registry. May work with Pentium II settings. Originaly released in 1997 for windows95. Will need to add system32 path if 64-bit machine AFAIK.
