I played the demo for about 20 minutes. I liked what I saw, but I had to quit because I find the controls frustrating. I'm using an XBOX 360 controller. I think the biggest issue is that you have to continuously hold the right analog stick to keep the gun out, and keep holding it or the character holsters it. If I need to press A to jump or B to interact with something, I have to take my thumb off the stick and the guy holsters the gun, then I move the stick again to unholster it. It's frustrating and has gotten me killed several times. If I could just have a toggle to unholster the gun and keep it out without having to constantly hold the right analog stick it would be a huge improvement.
Keyboard and mouse feels alright, although it's annoying that there isn't any mouse support in the menus, and no cursor on the screen so you don't know where you're aiming when you right click to pull out your gun.
Hmm, I know we've actually played with the idea of the weapon being out all the time, but it had two negative side effects: walking around with the weapon always out really slowed movement speed down to a crawl, and it also significantly lowered the difficulty.

Right now there's a tradeoff – with your gun unholstered you can prep your next shot, but movement is very slow and should discourage that approach. To account for the weapon being always out, you'd have to rebalance movement speed and enemy behavior around the ability to move and react much faster.

What I can recommend is to avoid keeping your weapon out all the time, and try to approach combat with more of a quick-draw mindset. For me at least part of the fun and challenge is to react fast, pull out the gun and get a headshot in, before the enemy does.

Did not work ;) Everybody I talked to and myself as well figured out that it is the best way to constantly keep your gun out on the account that you will be slower. Fact is that stealth is not really worth it since the moment somebody even spotted you for a tiny moment ... you are done - if you don't get the QTE right. Keep in mind that this will happen whenever you run mostly all the time since most of the enemys don't hide, just walking towards you and if you run .... Even IF an enemy is hiding there's no point in stealth since you can only attack him when you leave cover yourself ... so again - pulling out the gun is the only possible way. The mentioned "quickdraw" has one big disadvantage as well - it is not actually "quick". It takes too long and some enemys are too fast if you don't shoot themm first (and don't let yourself being fooled by "headshot" since several enemys survive several headshots pretty well - which is a biological miracle). I am at start of issue 4 and despite all the things I mentioned above I am enjoying the game - but I gave up on stealth completely and it is a walk/shoot situation with only occasional running for me now.
