Hello, i wanna buy one larry game, what game is more worth? Larry Reloaded or Larry: Love for Sail! [i guess i don't need to buy greatest hits and misses bcz i have the same on steam]
Love for Sail is pinnacle of the series. Larry 1 is very basic and short in comparison and Reloaded is not that much of improvement over VGA remake if you already own it.
I disagree, I found Larry 6 far more enjoyable than Larry 7. Larry Reloaded was also a better than Larry 7 IMHO, but it feels a little shorter and smaller, compared to both Larry 6 and Larry 7. Larry 5 is pretty good, but it's the easiest and shortest one, also the tamest one in terms of erotic content.

Larry 2 was great fun after I learned how the controls work, but's it's a completely different game that has very little to do with the Larry series, you don't even date/seduce girls. It's a lot more like Gobliiins or something to that extent. Often you need to die to some challenge in order to understand what you need to do next, so don't take death as a bad thing. Many death scenes are very funny anyway. Make a lot of separate saves, if you miss an item or action, you may die because of it only many scenes later, with no access to the previous screen. And when typing commands, use "the" (put THE cheese in THE sandwich, not just put cheese in sandwich), many people got stuck because of this.

Larry 3 is absolutely horrible. Extremely clunky controls, horrible collision detection, areas where you can't really see anything because of foliage (and you have to nagivate through them many times, bumping into invisible walls all the time), weird story, overall not that funny, and worst of all—almost all puzzles lack any sense of logic. It's always "what random thing could the authors want me to do next". Add to this a REQUIREMENT to read the manual thoroughly while playing and having it at hand (several copy protection questions pretending to be gameplay), bad minigame in a tiny window that's barely playable after tinkering with game speed, time limits, very nasty dead end that can easily force you to replay the last third of the game, and you get a horrible mess that this game is. It's definitely the worst Larry game of them all. It's borderline unplayable.

Larry 5 is fun, but rather easy and short. You do a few errands and it's over. You could play this as your first Larry game, because it does feel like a tutorial of sorts.

Larry 6 is what Larry 5 should have been. It has pretty good graphics, great voice acting, a lot of locations, logical puzzles and a good progression flow, plus it focuses on dating/seducing again. For me, it was the best game of the series. I needed to check a walkthrough just once, and indeed I have missed something at the very beginning. Luckily, there are no dead ends, so if you miss it too, you can remedy the situation. There's decent amount of sexy content here too. No minigames this time.

Larry 7 is better in some areas, worse in others. Whether you will like the animated cartoon movie look ("90s Disney knockoff", sort of) over the previous pixelated rendition is up to you, check out some screenshots. Voice acting is great, and there's a lot to be heard. The girls are nice and varied, and you can see much more of then than in Larry 6, if you find the easter eggs. There's also a lot of intentionally ugly caricature characters spoiling the scenes with background nudity. Chatting with girls became more complex and better. But the game also revives the text input from the old games, and you need to enter the right verb or talk about the right topic at several points, which kept me stuck for hours in total. Hours I spent looking for a normal solution. At one point, when I finally opened a walkthrough, I couldn't help myself and yelled "WHAT?!!", because the "solution" was so esoteric and stupid I couldn't believe it. And it wasn't the only one, there bad puzzles towards the end. That largely spoiled my enjoyment. I know oldschool adventure players love this masochistic torture, but I hate it. I did love the minigame Liar's

Finally, Larry Reloaded is nearly perfect, takes the best from Larry 6 and Larry 7, leaving the bad behind. The only problem is, it's not that long or complex. There aren't that many scenes, it feels rather "un-epic". Also the nudity was toned down, I think there's only a single scene with breasts, visible if that's what you're after. It's still a great game though.

So, I'd rank them like this:

Larry 4 > Larry 6 > Larry 1 Reloaded > Larry 7 > Larry 5 ~ Larry 2 > Larry 3 with a walkthrough just to see the story > Not playing any Larry games > Larry 3

Note: I haven't played the original Larry 1. I am trying to play MCL, but there are some issues with the controls, I haven't been able to land a single quarter in the cup, it seems there's a problem with modern hardware. Looking forward to WDDD and WDDT, because I really love the art style, based on the screenshots, so I hope they're good games too.

EDIT:
Ok, finished both WDDD and WDDT. The first one is pretty good, apart from some questionable forced content, minor issues, and lack of nudity (I used a mod which improved it to a good degree). It's kinda like Larry 1 in modern New Lost Wages, with a series of minor girls (um, you know what I mean) and one major girl. If you can handle some shoehorned gay content (not graphic, but it was uncomfortable), you might find it great. Otherwise it's just pretty decent.

The other one is like a mixture of Larry 2, Larry 3 and Monkey Island, later even some I, Robot themes. It was better as a game, but just like in Larry 2, you play a secret agent and you don't really date anyone. The ending was very bad too. Shame, it could have been pretty awesome, but they just overpacked it with references (it feels like a fan game or a parody at many points), tried to make it too "epic", and botched the ending, probably ran out of budget or time. It's about as "Larry" as Larry 2 was (not). Couldn't really recommend it to anyone, due to the nasty aftertaste.
