Which one is the better one. DOS or the Windows version?

After playing the original LSL7 on DOS and Windows back in the day, there wasn't any real difference that I could see, if there was I couldn't tell any. Only reason I used Dos back in the day my 586 had a bit more grunt in DOS. You even still get the unlocked wallpapers in the DOS version also.

As for this version it's how I remember it.
I'd almost prefer to have the dos version though, also. I have better luck with dosbox settings. Plus you can install it anywhere, and movle the folder around alot easier.

Is still possible to restore LSL7 to it's original glory? I would like to play LSL 1 - 7 on the Dosbox :(

I always had trouble running it in Windows even when it was only a couple of years old. (Part of the problem was the installer, which thankfully you won't have to deal with if you get it from GOG.) I always ran into a bug where after some point (I never found out what, exactly) the game would always crash on exit, which meant it wouldn't autosave. From that point you had to save manually or not at all. It's possible the GOG version doesn't have that issue, though...

A couple years back I played it in DosBox (using a rip of the same CD that I bought way back when) and didn't have any issues once I figured out the right DosBox settings to use. Only thing was I was missing one point at the end of the game and couldn't find it, so I didn't finish with a perfect score. It was probably just something I missed, though...
