I was wondering about the pre-order. If I pre-order the game, it comes with all the normal "gog" extras. Will these not be available if I buy it after the release? Also, it says the main theme is included. Does anyone know if the whole soundtrack will be available after the release date? (I've only heard the trailer music, but it sounds pretty cool and it sounds like the soundtrack will be decent quality.)

Thanks!
From what I was reading: the only pre-order (or it should be pre-purchase) bonus is lower price - all extras will be later here also. (Someone corrects me please if I am wrong)

This, and the extras are available now, just not the game itself. Read the manual, ooh and ahh at the artwork, expend loads of ink and paper printing off copies of the grid paper, all before the game itself is available.
I imagine that these bonus materials will remain available through GOG because providing additional material is one the GOG commitments to its customers. However, at 20% off why not pre-order the game because it is highly unlikely to sell for 50% off anytime in the first year, unless GOG is eating that cost -- which would explain the claim of giving away 12 Million dollars worth of games. Hm.

Anyway, I actually purchased the game through the official website, which resulted in getting a Steam activation code and the promise for a copy of the standalone installer when the game releases on April 11th. I love GOG - LOVE GOG - but getting the standalone version and a Steam copy along with the bonus materials was too good to pass up.

Well, according to what I've read you are getting more bonus materials when buying from GOG. Oh, and I don't care about Steam.
Good point Lexxor, Actually, all the bonus materials available through GOG are also available when ordering the game through the grimrock.net website. To be honest, I am with you when it comes to Steam but I was hoping that Almost Human would receive a larger percentage if I ordered it through their site. Who knows.

Not all. According to TheEnigmaticT:
Very slightly different goodies. We have a few exclusive wallpapers and concept artworks as well as everything the Almost Human guys sell.

Well, I am not quite sure - they still need to share profit with Steam as they are giving away Steam codes.
Hm. Well, then perhaps after considering the differences between the bonus materials I may purchase a copy via GOG--especially if the soundtrack through GOG has more than 1 song. I am unsure why, but the creators state that the best way to support them is to purchase the game directly from them. Any ideas why this might be true?
I preordered here on GOG. As the devs stated that after the game is released they might look into a Linux port, I hope that if this becomes true it would also appear at GOG included in the original purchase.
