how do you close the middle square inthe area of the rotating teleporters

SPOILER - If you look to the left of the pit (when facing the pit from the area the spiders were in), there is a doorway out and a pressure pad just beyond the area the teleporters sweep. You need to depress that pressure pad to close the pit. But first you might want to explore down the pit? Good luck
