Recently started playing this game as it was one of those rpgs I never played back in the day despite really looking forward to it. I have been exploring Draracle's Caves and i have a two questions. Is there a way to buy more oil for the lantern? I have yet to find what Draracle wants so I am looking around the caverns to find what I missed and now I am out of oil. Second, a slime creature destroyed one of my characters armor. Is there a way to buy a new? Luckily I hade a spare, but it is worse than the one that got destroyed.

I can't remember if some shopkeepers sell oil, but it's likely finite.
As for armor disappearing due to damage: Welcome to Lands of Lore 1. This game is full of trolling, and losing items is unfortunately a part of it. Some take your armor, some take your weapons. Avoid getting hit when you find enemies that do this.

Thanks for answering my questions. I restarted the game and practiced what I learnt from my previous experience and mistakes. While oil does not seem to be that much of a problem I am much more keen on saving and having plenty of save slots (something that I should have done from the beginning, not only three). Any time I loose a good armor I re-load. Quite boring but its my first time through the game so it is what it is.
