When I bought the original Guardians of Destiny game in 97 in the box there was a grand advertisement for the Soundtrack CD!!! The music of this game is awesome (and partly reused in LOL 3).

Would it be possible to include the soundtrack someday to this package????
I have that soundtrack CD, and it is awesome music. Its only one disk though, so Its just a selection of some of the best music in the game. Its not the complete soundtrack. I would totally love to have the full thing here on GOG.
It may to a while to get the rights to re-release it in track form (think about what the expansions are going through, but we have been getting more EA goodies), but YouTube probably has some tracks you can listen to and, erm, download using a converter like youtube-mp3.org. :P

(I'm the YouTube music guy, but there are people like Vagabond who have the actual full music tracks and upload them for others.)
I never played 2. But I remember that LOL 1 was one of the first games we got after getting our first CD-ROM and Soundblaster! I've looked for the soundtrack a few times over the years with no luck. This would be an insta-buy if it had the soundtrack! I still have the game CD in a binder somwhere :D
My memory may be playing tricks on me, but doesn't LOL2 include the full soundtrack as an extra within the game menus, and you can select which tracks you want to listen to?

There is this awesome website that offers MIDI-rips of various games. Unfortunately the digital music from Lands of Lore 2 is much better than the MIDI version, but it's a start:

WOW!!! Just WOW!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
I've been listening to the LOL2 soundtrack from the above Skydrive link on repeat for the last couple of days. I'm having trouble pinpointing where many of the tracks play in-game, though. I swear that the majority of the music doesn't appear in the game at all (from the "The Music of Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny"). Anyone else notice this?

One track, "Gladstone," sounds very similar to a track that appears in LOL3. I assume the section it was supposed to appear in LOL2 was cut, but I can't find anything round teh interwebz to confirm that. Kind-of interesting.

Sorry for necroposting, but... Dude, you have the actual cd? Or rio from that cd?

If first, please PM me (there's no way I can pm you).

Sorry dude, I don't seem to be able to PM you either. Maybe an issue with privacy settings?

I have the actual disc. I bought it from Westwood's website a long time ago. I thought maybe the reason why it was unavailable here could be because GOG just couldn't get a hold of it, so I actually offered to give my disc to them. The offer was supposedly forwarded to the person who would be in charge of such things. Never heard back though. The LOL2 soundtrack in tfishell's link is a rip of the CD that I have.

Did you consider to sell that cd? If so, what would be your price?

Yes, I'm aware how rare it is.

Would you consider uploading a lossless full-quality (flac) rip of the CD?

There are also no sources anywhere on the booklet, or exactly which tracks were composed by Frank Klepacki and which by David Arkenstone. The only hint to that is that Frank Klepacki's website only has three tracks listed.

https://www.frankklepacki.com/ost/vg/landsoflore2

Since he did include tracks made together with Jarrid Mendelsson on the Tiberian Sun soundtrack listing (but not the ones made exclusively by Jarrid) I assume this means all the rest of the Lands of Lore 2 soundtrack is from David Arkenstone, but that's just an educated guess.

Do you have more info on that? Maybe even a scan of the full booklet?

I don't know how comfortable I feel uploading the tracks. I do have some info on who made what track though. Its in the liner notes. I don't have a scanner right now, but I can list the tracks for you.

Frank Klepachi Tracks:
2, 3, 5, 10, 11, 13

David Arkenstone Tracks:
1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14
