I made a single save on the Mines Second Floor right before you drop into the pit with tons of avian worms. There seems to be no other way to go other than dropping down into the pit and fighting them. The problem is that no matter how hard I try I can't kill them before they kill me and I don't have any other saves to fall back on. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheats I can use to get myself through them or teleport out of the somewhere?

Can you at least rest before falling down? Any skulls, wands or disposable magical items to use? Sorry, I don't have any cheats for you, but sometimes it takes a few dozen reloads to get out of a sticky situation. Use every resource available to you.

If it's the place I think it is you need to run forward the moment you drop down and hit a button that will open a wall. Then you can either try to run or try to fight them without being surrounded.

Yeah, I've rested and used what I could which is basically one swarm, one green skull, and one bezel cup with 4 stones. I never really trained up my magic with Baccata since just fighting was always working well for me so I can only throw a few fireballs, but if I use up my magic then I can't really heal.

I've tried running, but I can't move at all when I drop down. They seem to be in every spot in the room and even after I take a bunch down I still can't move at all since others take their spot.

I just had an idea that I'm not sure will work, but does anyone know if you can keep casting magic, resting, then casting some more to raise your magic level? I could potentially get my magic high enough to deal with all of them.

You mean grind your magic level up from the same spot? I don't think it'll work, as level-ups are dependent on how much damage you cause to your enemies. If there are no enemies, no level-up for you. Try one of these two strategies: either use all your magic for healing to last as long as possible in melee combat (the aim is not to die until your casters have exhausted all their means of healing), or pour all your magic points into offensive spells. I don't have my manual here, but some creatures are more vulnerable to a certain type of magic (fire, electricity or cold). As you liberate one square, try to step into it before more creatures appear.

When I played LOL1, I didn't have problems with this part. Maybe I used the correct spell by chance...

Hmm...I'm worked for me after a few tries. I remember the first time I went down the pit was a WTF moment..
Have you tried lowering the difficulty?
Ok, I got myself out of there after many many attempts. Basically, I found the wall with the button and I just tried over and over doing damage as fast as I could until, on one attempt, I was able to kill the worms in front of the wall, move into that space, and then open the door and run out. If you didn't mention the button I might have not looked for it in the chaos of the fight so thanks.

Also, I did take the advice to use everything I had. I didn't realize the ebony stick can cast swarm so that was helpful as well.

Sell all your extra stuff to idol in the Ghorka Swamp. Then go to the witchdoctor and buy as many fireball wands as you can afford. unleash upon the avian worms with fireball frenzy! You will destroy them all!

Also make sure that you fireball their nests (I think there is three) in the walls. This will keep new worms from forming.
