Hi,

I've played the game back in 1994 I still have the original CD for all three games.

I installed it on an old vista pc and on my Android tablet. Everything looked fine at first. Since I don't usually need aloe or ginseng to cure Ak'shel, I didn't notice that I couldn't use them. Now that I've reached Draracle's cave I realized that I can't "use" the freeze spell. I can't continue playing without the freeze spell. Is there something I didn't do correctly? Any answer will be appreciated, I'm beyond frustration.

Haven't heard of this issue before. What happens when you try to use the spell? Could you give us a step-by-step description of the problem?

Ak'shel must "read" the spell for it to appear under the Heal spell. I take the scroll from the inventory and "click' it on Ak'shel's portrait, that would make it appear on the scroll with the Spark and Heal, instead it just open the character's equipping screen. I tried clicking the portrait everywhere, clicking quickly or excruciatingly slow. The same applies for bezel cups, salves, aloe and ginseng.

I believe you need to right-click the item on a character's portrait to make them use it.

I didn't use that spell, but I've already found it and add it to my spellbook. I suppose the problem has been properly diagnosed by rmeakins in the post above. You need to:
1. Take scroll from your inventory with left-click.
2. Read it by right-clicking on character avatar.
If that solved your problem, I believe you owe rmeakins marking his post as a solution.

Some controls in old cRPGs are really specific. I remember the moment a few weeks ago someone told me that AirCar in Ultima 1 has laser on-board. I was using that AirCar and didn't know about that (I've finally changed to Frigate for its cannon)... :D
Hi - I have a problem with the Freeze scroll as I can't add it to the spell list. I am playing it on a Mac & so have no left or right clicks. Does anyone have a solution to this as I cannot right or left click on a Mac? Thanks.
Usually on a Mac, because they often have a single mouse button, you can hold down "Ctrl" on the keyboard then click the mouse button to perform a right-click.
