Hi,

Got a very specific Question.

Played Lands of Lore back in the Day in the CD Version, and I don’t know if the GoG Version is identical to that Version.

Anyway,

I remember that when you first reached the Opal Woods, the…I don’t know…Centaurs with the Crossbows who could One Hit you dropped, on very rare Occasions, Halberds. Apparently that where the Ones the Gladstone Guards use, so they were insanely Strong. I tried to farm these Things for a while now, with no success. My Question, has that been patched out for the GoG Release or do you just need an insane amount of Luck?

I think you're misremembering because there aren't any halberds the guard "use" and they don't drop anything when killed. Neither do the pentrogs to my knowledge.
People seem to think that GOG changes the original DOS games, when they release them. No, they don't. They just take them and package them with DOSBox to make them run easily on modern systems.

Pretty sure there were two halberd type weapons, but they were not from the minotaurs. They were from Yvel. They were not quite the one-hit-kill ones the guards had, but were fairly decent weapons.

They're called pentrogs, "minotaurs" are a completely different creature...

I don't know about the GOG.com version, but the Pentrogs do sometimes drop halberds (the generic ones without name). Only the pentrogs that are already spawned in the beginning do however. The drop chance is not evaluated when the pentrog is killed, but it is carrying it from the start, so to speak. So if you didn't get any you might try reloading a save before you entered Opinwood, that might have a better chance of working.
Ok, apparently guards DO drop halberds if they're killed, but they're just regular halberds.

Yeah, I VAGUELY remember getting a halberd off of one once, back when I played the original CD version.
