Hello there!

So I was playing La Mulana, all went fine until I encountered the SECOND lever/button.
I could press the first one fine (Holding the down arrow). But I can't seem to press any other button. My friend can press it fine...

Solutions, anyone?

Oh and I have reset the keyboard configs and everything (Not that I changed anything)

You need to get the weight - a wooden block, sometimes it's dropped by killed monsters. You can also buy it in one of the shops in the village.
