Hey all. Looking at the game reviews, it seems I'm not the only one with this issue. There's major lag on inputs, and it's next to impossible to climb altitude. Turning is laborious, until you're turned way too sharp. There's gotta be a fix for this, as other reviews seem to have no issues. Playing it on a cheap Asus R540S. Is this something I need to configure in DosBox? Or something else?

Hi, it's been a long time since your post but I'll try to help anyway. First of all keyboard controls are clunky indeed, I tried both the keys and a Logitech extreme 3d stick and can say that the joystick is perfect for this game. Or you could maybe try another stick like Thrustmaster 16000 that'll work too. A stick is always better. (but not an xbox one controller)

Now abaut flying, you should have read the manual first (actually I also didn't at first :P ) That these planes were very primitive with really low power. You can't just go full throttle and rotate(take off) and climb immediately. You must first build some speed at the runway then pull the stick very lightly until you are moderately high or you will stall very easily. (check the manual) I made the same mistake and thought something was wrong but after getting used to it I'm doing fine. First climb at a slow rate, the sharp manouevres come later at high altitudes.
