I'm at the point in King's Quest 6 where I'm supposed to cast the Make Rain spell from the spell book.

I've added baby's tears to the old hunters' lamp as I'm supposed to. I have the sacred vial but I can't use it on the lamp. Also every time I try to add water from the Beast's fountain the game says "the lamp is not ready for the fountain water."

I feel like I've done every step necessary and the game just says to add fountain water and sacred vial water but the game just doesn't let me. What am I doing wrong?

The order in which I did it was to add the sacred water vial, then go to the Isle of Wonder and add the baby's tears, then finally add the fountain water
