Was hoping that would be on GOG, since the Collection on Steam doesn't include it (or VIII for that matter).

I would like to see Sierra remake II, III and IV in that point-and-click style. I know they canned the plans initially because of the backlash to KQI doing just this (even though it made the game far better), but, well... it did only improve the game... and I am aware there are unofficial remakes that do this, but both of them deviate quite heavily from the source material. I want official versions!
KQ1 was not remade into a point & click version by Sierra. The remake that Sierra did was just xfered to the SCI interpreter with enhanced graphics, but you still had to type in the commands. You might be thinking of the unofficial VGA version that was done MANY years later by AGD Interactive, which was point & click. People didn't dislike the remake because they felt like the original classic should have been left alone without any graphical enhancements (like STAR WARS *hint hint*)
AGD Interactive remade King's Quest 1. Their version is just like the official remake, excpet it's VGA graphics, point and click interface, and has voice acting. If you want to play a remake, just download AGD Interactive's remake for free on their website. There' s no reason not to. It's free (unlike the Sierra remake which won't be free wherever you find it) and has the best graphics of any version of the game.

AGD Interactive also remade King's Quest 2 and King's Quest 3. Warning: they changed the storyline a bit for both of those games. But they're free and I think they are tremendous.
