Ok my problem with starting the game is solved, but when I play the game just for some seconds it gets very slow. Any ideas on this? System: XP SP3, GeForce 7900 GS, : Intel Core2 6400, 2GB RAM
EDIT: Argh I forgot to tag the thread as problem, and I can't edit that property...

I can also confirm this.
AMD Phenom II 955BE
5770 Crossfire
4GB of ram
Windows 7 + XP.
So it isn't the specs.
Direct3D mode is greyed out so it is either DirectDraw or 3dFX under a wrapper.
Menu background does not come up and it's quite choppy.
Actual gameplay is unplayable because of laggyness (15 FPS or so).
With a 3dFX wrapper, the game comes to an 0.2 FPS both ingame and in menu.
I tried sending a ticket about this several days ago with an automated response that they would reply as soon as possible.
This has yet to happen.
I already own kings quest 1-7 on CD so I didn't get the pack to just repurchase number 7.
/rant.

I'm running the game using zeckensack's Glide Wrapper. I went into the graphic options and set it to use 3dfx with 800x600 resolution. I also turned off Dynamic Lighting. This setup makes the game run just fine for me.

I have Win 7 + XP 32 bit
4GB of RAM
nVidia GeForce 9800 GT
