So I was testing out Gog's version on a Windows XP machine, and it doesn't seem to load. It crashes back to desktop.

The installed and patched version off the CD seems to install and work fine (using the fanmade no-cd/unpacked levels "new installer").

Gog's version does install and load fine on Vista and Win 7 though.

I'll give it a try...

Still bizarre it works on vista and win 7 without that file.

Keep in mind that aside from their broken no-cd patch GOG's installer will also wipe out all your application compatibility settings (ie. right click-properties-Compatibility) for every program you've set it on when you uninstall since they used "uninsdeletekey" instead of "uninsdeletevalue"... so make sure you have a backup of "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers" from your registry ;)

This will install faster than Collector's installer and has full support for English, Brazilian Portuguese (just missing the installer translation), and French versions. It will also work for German, Italian, and Spanish but I haven't finished the lock-up workarounds for them yet.
