I'm trying to run the game in WIndows 7 64-bit with an ATi Radeon 6870 video card.

I used the Sierra Help Pages installer which includes the latest patch, the wrapper, and supposedly fixes the lockup areas. The game installs perfectly and starts fine. The intro movie plays perfectly fine.

But when I get to the menu, I experience extreme lag in my cursor. When I start a new game, it lags to the point of being an unplayable slide show. I tried everything: compatibility settings, changing CPU affinity to 1 core, changing program priority to high, changing all of the wrapper settings, lowering graphics settings, lowering resolution... nothing works!

Changing to Direct3D mode in-game just gives the game broken psychedelic colors and I can't see anything. So that doesn't help either.

Does ANYONE else have this problem and knows how to fix it?

I had a similar problem when I installed the game using the same installer.
I then uninstalled the glide wrapper and downlaoded and re-installed it from this site:
http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/

For some reason using the glide wrapper from that site, rather than the one included in the installer, solved the problem.

Processor speed? Resolution (640x480 or 800x600)? Dynamic Lighting off? Texture Memory set to 2MB in the Glide wrapper? Tried Windowed mode (Alt-Enter) or DirectDraw?

The other option to try would be to use my installer instead of Collector's (it also has the weirdling shop fix that he hasn't added yet)

Oh my God, I know I'm making this post in reply to an almost 10 year old comment but THANK YOU. I've been modding and programming my brains out for the past week and here I finally found that MediaFire link thanks to you. I'll finally get to relive one of my most favorite games form my childhood!

Thank you thank you thank youuuu
