Wow, a two-year-old hit game on GOG!
I've already got the original boxed release, but my version is unfortunately not Vista 64 compatible. It keeps crashing at random points mostly during combat, and at certain rather late point in the game the crashes become so frequent the game is no longer playable.
The internet tells me there is no fix for my version, but maybe the lovely people at GoG have done some patching themselves. So, how's this version? Have the 64-bit bugs been fixed?

Did you try the 260.63 beta drivers?
Nope, I gave up before they came out. I'll install them now and see if it helps.
Win 7 x64 here, it occasionally crashes and occasionally hangs up for a few minutes, but recovers. Can run it for > 1 day with no issues though; it's definitely stable enough to play.

In long fights (doing lossless, so sometimes charger-farming to ~100 turns), sometimes effects stop working - things like charger balls don't display, then the grid might disappear, etc -- inconvenient but the game still works. And those glitches end once that fight ends.
I updated to the 260.63 beta drivers and after playing for about four hours I've seen one crash, so it's now a lot better than before and certainly playable again. I think in this case the frequent random crashes happen on a system running both a 64-bit OS and an nVidia graphics card. It may be a bit optimistic, but I'll mark this as solved.
I can confirm that the game works perfectly in Vista x64.

I had big problems with this game earlier: a copy I bought from GamersGate, which constantly crashed on me; so much so that it was unplayable. This was less than a year ago.

I bought the gog.com version because it was so cheap, and I've played for hours without a single crash with every setting on -- including vsync and antialiasing.

I suspect this is because of the NVIDIA drivers. I use version 260.99 right now, on a GTX 260 card.
I bought it on impulse when they put armored princess for sale, it's working just wine on vista ultimate 64bits, no crashes whatsoever, no tweaks of any sort needed on my part.

denis.solonenko: I'm playing on Windows 7 x64 and haven't yet experienced a single crash. Not Vista, but still..
Hi, I have Win7 Ultimate x64 installed on a 3.4Ghz Qaudcore Intel i7-2600 CPU processor, 16.GB Ram. I get a black screen when launching game - full sound, no graphics. Any ideas?
I have the same problem. i5-2400, intel graphics, directX 10, everything updated. I get full sound, mostly black screen but occasionally one or two of the startup screens show up, but blown up to 4x size (something), I see the upper left parts of the images.
