Hello, I am about 14 hours into King's Bounty The Legend, Level 8, and beyond the rest of the games in this series, most of which I already have scooped up, I am looking for recommendations for more just like this! As a kid I got hooked on CRPGs like Ultima, Bard's Tale, Wasteland, etc. but never played a RTS game before. I don't think I'd like a full RTS game, but King's Bounty which is a great blend of the two has wowed me to the point I'm looking for any suggestions anyone can make about games with the same RPG style of play (exploration, quests, stats and leveling), along with the RTS combat and management. I've looked at some things I think are similar but am not certain of how much like Heroes of Might & Magic (Loved the original games I played through when I was younger, through III), or Age of Wonders. Appreciate anyone taking the time to read and suggest, thank you!
The Eador series

The Age of Wonders series

The Heroes of Might and Magic series

The Disciples series

The Master of Magic series

The Fantasy General series

The Dungeons series

They are all very different, there might even be huge differences between installments of one series, e. g. HoMM IV is rather different from its predecessors.

Whether you like a series or not depends on your personal taste and preferences.

The King's Bounty series is very special with its colorful adventure maps, but even the newest installment takes a different approach.
Just watch some playthrough videos on Youtube to get an impression how each series looks and feels.

Also, lots of these games have an active modding community and some of the mods can greatly enhance or change gameplay.

Thanks Mondkalb, I appreciate the recommendations and will do some Youtube research! Age of Wonders 4 has a lot of videos out there currently, I'll have to dig around for some of these others.
Combat-wise, the closest things to King's Bounty is probably Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 5.

Atmosphere-wise and exploration-wise and environment-type-wise and music-type-wise, the closest thing to King's Bounty is probably Divinity: Original Sin 1.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've never played the Heroes of Might & Magic games, I do have the first one in my collection. I also own Divinity: Original Sin, but so far I've only played Divine Divinity from that series (enjoyed it immenseley!).

A bit late to the conversation but I'd also like to add a plus one vote to Heroes of Might and Magic and Disciples. Myself I've been playing all 3 series (including King's Bounty) every 10 years or so. They are just so good...

Although not TBS, I can vouch for Rage of Mages and Warlords Battlecry series too.

I've also been looking for something similar. Thanks to your post I got some ideas, so thank you!
