I know this has been asked a lot on multiple forums, but I still couldn't figure it out.
I train with Tomcat at the vagrants camp. First lesson, simple combo: right, left, right or left, right, left.
He shows me the combo, I have to repeat it two times. No problem here, I do the combo two times and he is satiefied.
Now I have to demonstrate my new ability to him and repeat what I have learned by repeating the combo. Right, left, right. But each time I do exactly as I did before I don't do the third strike the way I'm supposed to do - instead of hiting him on the right side again (or the left side, wherever you start), I strike his chest instead and he says something like 'that's another technic' and he requests me to try it again.
So where is the catch here? It looks like I am able to do it (I seem to have been able to learn the combo), but whenever he asks me to demonstrate it in a fight I fail. And to advance in the training to have to finish the combat training I.
