... After completing the main game and quite a few side-quests (NO Spoilers).

Having played and finished the first game, not too long before the release of KCD II, I was really looking forward to see how it continued and I wasn't disappointed, not in the slightest, fantastic doesn't even get close.

There were quite a few times that I felt like I was starring in a movie, people depending on me to do the right thing and I couldn't let them down.

I've played MANY RPGs over the years and not a single one of them has EVER made me feel connected to the story in such a way.

I called this a true masterpiece in a review recently, which is very true, however...

Each KCD game is a masterpiece on its own, but when you combine AND experience both of them, they become a work of art.

Having the Gold Edition, I am so looking forward to the DLCs, but in the meantime, I have some more side-quests to undertake :-).

Warhorse Studios... THANK YOU for what you've achieved and what I've experienced with KCD I & II :-) <3.

Edit: Slight rewording.

And if you remember the reaction of some game studios to the success of BG 3, trying to lower
people's expectation and then Warhorse comes along and does this.
Shame they said there won't be KCD 3 (or at least not the next project).
Honestly, I don't remember that, but then BG3 isn't a game which really interests me that much, maybe I'm getting old(er) ;-).

I do remember the faux controversy over KCD II though, some slating it beyond belief and quite a few believed it all it seems. *shrugs*

Thankfully, some of us are able to make-up our own minds and not be like Ignatius ;-). An RPG which allows us to make 'choices', shock horror :'-D. THE most-important thing for me in KCD II, it allowed me to play the game as I wanted... Honourably! No innocents harmed and only using my weapons to defend others or myself, I love that :-).

I'm hoping for some DLCs which may cover aspects of the game many of us really enjoy, one already on the way that I'm eagerly awaiting... I do enjoy the Smithy :-).

I can't see anything even getting close to topping this game for quite some time, for me at least.
