Hello

Loving the game, finished some time ago but now for some reason the anti virus software keeps killing the kingdomcome.exe file from system folder and keeps telling me its a threat marked as: IDP.Generic.
Tested with AVG and Avast. The game is bought from GOG and is updated to the newest version 1.6.2.33
I have tried to reinstall the game and the same thing happens. When I start the game the game starts and then is forced to close. And the virus threat message appears.

Any ideas what could be causing this issue? I don't have any other issues with my PC and I think this is a false positive.

Exactly the same problem here. I've played 3 minutes, changed the resolution from 720p to 1080p then the 2 files .exe were put in quarantine by avast. Impossible to restaure these 2 files. Damned, it took me 2 days to download the 40go. I'm really disappointed by gog on this one. HELP please !

Some antivirus programs are automatically hostile to anything new, like a recent update to KCD. As for Avast, you can exclude the file by first restoring it if it's in quarantine, then click Menu/Settings and scroll down to exclusions and add the file. AVG probably has a similar feature.
After signing-out and back in again, avast let me remove KingdomCome.exe from the virus chest.

Quick comment: If you are running win10x64, I've noticed that Defender almost never produces a false positive...There's no question but that false positives can be more trouble than actual viruses at times (Defender finds the real thing without difficulty) because of situations just like this one. I like that about Defender, in particular.
Had this problem as well... uninstalled Avast and went back to Windows Defender.
