When I first purchased the game a few weeks ago, it started fine. However, now when I click to play it goes to the tile showing the title and no further. I have tried running as administrator, resetting the factory settings on my GPU, setting exceptions in BitDefender, re-installing and now I am fresh out of ideas... Just wondering if I am missing something...

I'm in the same boat here, game just doesn't go past that initial splash screen. Happens on the steam version that I refunded as well.

Check antivirus logs (AV may be blocking game), look in Windows logs (system and application) for errors related to KingdomCome.exe.

I have the same problem since i've installed the windows 10 1809 update. According to the windows logs it's an issue with the kernelbase.dll (sorry, log in german):

I have the same issue. I guess it's since I installed the latest Windows 10 update 1809.

Well, this tip from the official kingdome come forums kind of solved the issue for me.

If you have a Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse, uninstalling it's driver might solve the proble. Although it's not really a solution because now I can't use the features of the mouse anymore ...

I already tried to install the latest drivers (apparently v1.20, but installing them still shows v1.19 within the roccat software itself).

Hello, i just bought the game and had the same trouble, it not starting after splash screen, so i went into the game folder > bin > Win64 and ran KingdomCome.exe from there, started fine, something gog launcher related? idk, hope it helps.
