This game hits all my buttons, village simulation, interesting world, decisions that matter, felling like I'm really a ruler. It's great. But, are there any other games out there like this? It's kinda got me in the mood for more. I don't care if they're text based or not, if they're new or old, I just want something similar. Fantasy/medieval setting, running a village/city/kingdom/, not Stronghold or The Guild.
KOEI strategy games maybe?

http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/celtic-tales-balor-of-the-evil-eye <- Closest in terms of setting (Ancient Ireland)

-- Moving further towards 'grand strategy' there's Crusader Kings from Paradox. Just got a sequel.

About Celtic Tales: For a game that came out in '95 it still used EGA graphics? Wow.
Closest recent game would be Crusader Kings, but without all the mythological / fantasy aspects. And much "easier".

Apart from that, I don't really see.
Not quite medieval (renaissance instead), but the Patrician games are good.

And on GoG already http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/patrician_3
