I'm really sorry because I like this game (unitil now), but now I cannot go on. I had some problem during some battles but now i cannot play because during a battle the game crashes and go back to desktop.
I have win 10 and a Amd Radeon R7 200. What can I do to play this game?

Hi Itlodeo,

I played the original King Arthur on my older PC with WinXP, and don't think I ever had a crash. While I have not loaded this onto my new Win10 gaming rig yet, I have been playing the expansion (Fallen Champions) very successfully, as in only one CTD so far. I did have a similar problem like you are having now with a different game on Win10, and this is what I did to solve that problem:

Right Click on the exe (or short cut on your desktop if there), and go to "properties". Choose the "Compatibilty" tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Click "Apply" and then OK to exit out of Properties. Now when you start the game, just to be safe, right click again on the exe and click "run as administrator". See if that helps with the crashing...it did for me on an older game I was playing on Win10 before (can't recall the game right now though). If worse comes to worse, and that doesn't help, you can once again Right Click on the exe and run the Troubleshoot Compatibilty program there, and see if that helps (don't think I really ever had much luck with that in the past, but who knows, it's always worth a shot!)

That's about all I have..other than making sure of course you have the latest drivers for your Radeon R7 200. That's actually the first thing you should do, before anything else. Many times, just a GPU driver update solves a lot of gaming troubles. Oh, and if worse comes to worse, you can start edging down the graphic quality settings on the game under options, a little a time....The game may not look as pretty, but*sometimes* lowering the quality and settings will help stop those crashes as well. Good Luck...hope you get it back up and running problem free, it's a really great game :D

Thank you very much. I will try your suggestions as soon as possible.
I've been playing King Arthur recently on my Windows 7 computer. I haven't had any problems with crashing.

I'm glad someone else besides me is playing King Arthur, because it seems to be a pretty good game. I love the atmosphere.

I would be playing it too, but I have the same problem (game crash when I start a battle) after a few dozen hours (I'm in chapter 3). And I heard the "crash in battle in late game" happened to other people. Maybe the game doesn't like my Win 8/10 laptop?
I'll try Zoltan's workaround, and if that doesn't work, will try to play on my win 7 desktop

Otherwise, yeah, it's a real nice game. The mood is great, the battles are good with a decent AI, the RPG elements cool, and it's pretty. What's not to like? :)
Hello, playing on Win 10. Tried the compatibility mode (Win XP service pack 3) and running as admin. Still a lot of crashes, every other battle (loading to go into it or after battle). Anyone still playing and any other "hot fixes", please? Thanks.
I can get the game to run on Windows 10 but only at the lowest resolutions. I tested it in a Scenario and switched resolutions until it stopped working, basically once I reached anything over 1000p.
