What about those reviews saying the game doesn't run correctly ? There doesn't seem to be a communication from the devs about this...

It's unfortunately correct that for now game is broken on GOG version.
I just send a bugreport on dev's discord ! (they were certainly simply not aware of the issue)

Edit : They're already working on it :)

While the developers are fixing this issue on their end, here's a potential fix : navigate to the location below and delete galaxy64.dll

KILLBUG\KILLBUG_Data\Plugins\x86_64

When playing Killbug via Galaxy, everything seems to be fine. It's only when you play from the offline installer that graphical glitches and flashing colours may appear. The issue must then come from galaxy64.dll that, even in offline mode, tries to connect to the galaxy servers for some reason. Removing that files should solve the problem but be aware that the leaderboard will (obviously) be disabled.

Hey Everyone, Killbug dev here.

I managed to reproduce it on my machine but want to make sure I'm attempting to fix the same issue you all are having.

When you experienced the bug:
Were you playing the game offline (no internet)? (I think this is the root cause of the bug)
Do you have GOG Galaxy running at the same time?
What OS are you running on?
Was this what your screen looked like in game(attached image)?

I'm really sorry this slipped through you guys, looks like this is a bug on the steam version as well so I'd like to fix it properly if I can so any help is appreciated.

Hello,

- Personally, the bugs only occured when I was playing the game from the offline installer. As far as I know, everything works as intended if playing through Galaxy.
- I have tried the game on two computers, one with Galaxy running and the other not even installed, and the bugs were only happening with the latter.
- Played on Windows 11
- The bugs look exactly like on your screen. I may add that most sounds also don't play.

Thank you for your support.

Hi Nick, I'm playing on Linux through Proton so I know I'm not a representative case here but the Proton itself it's not the part of the problem.

I checked yesterday and as it was mentioned before the bug is strictly connected with Galaxy64.dll file. After renaming that file to anything else the game is running perfectly smooth so It's definitely a conflict with GOG Galaxy.

The bug basically manifests itself as green background that flickers whenever the player moves the mouse (screenshot in the attachment).

Hope that It'll help you :)

Same issue as those above me, hopefully you can fix it!
Hey all we don't know how to post news for the game (waiting on ND for that).
But for now we've confirmed a fix for both the game not working online and not working if Galaxy isn't installed/running which we believe are the two issues people were running into.

The patch is out now.
Hopefully ya'll are able to kill some bugs this weekend with no problems.
