I decided to start running hash to the desert. I sent an expedition party out to find a route. We finally reached Heft. While there, we took a break to recruit; training our warriors and sending out the workers to mine copper for some income.

All was at first usual -- until fighting broke out between the local tech hunters (consequently some shopkeepers too) and samurai guard. Oh well. I lost some places to trade, which was unfortunate, but all those bodies to loot made up for it. Then we moved to Sho-Battai and after we recuperated for the night the same fighting broke out. I guess it'll be the same elsewhere.

Barring some proper explanation I'm going to pretend this is all a very violent tax dispute, but seriously: What's actually going on? Anybody else experienced this? Are they going to cool it off? Looking forward to profiteering from this big scuffle, but I'll miss having places to buy and sell.

I had a similar experience at the "Zentrum". We managed to save and heal the shopkeeper in the bar at least once, until I changed game difficulty to not attack cities. The outpost I built close to the town is still attacked on a regular basis...
Can only wonder what caused our situations, huh? There was also a hiver caravan that got attacked while I was in Heft, but they don't come by regularly. I'm gonna pretend the United Cities, besides all their other problems, are having many rancorous business disagreements.

Also, it is the same everywhere I've found; wherever I go in the United Cities, fighting breaks out between the samurai guards and tech hunters. Wonder if they'll ever stop.
