Compared to playing Kao 2, I noticed that Kao 1 refuses to run smooth. It is not exactly stuttering or anything, but the framerate seems very low, like 20 or 25 fps. Especially if you turn the camera, it looks just very uncomfortable. My system is definitely fast enough so I suspect that the framerate is either limited internally or there is some problem with my environment. Did any one else notice this problem and knows a solution to it? in this state, the game is quite unplayable to me.

I appears that the game runs way better with dgVoodoo. Just copying the DirectX Dll's in the game directory and using dgVoodooCpl.exe du adjust the settings a bit made the game run pretty smooth.
