I just bought this game but i used to own it on X-Box and thought it was one of the best budget titles on that console. If you want the prettiest shooter then go buy a game like Crysis. I realise more and more that while most modern games are graphically impressive, they just arent that fun. In a FPS you need good controls, and satisfying weapons that look and sound leathal. Judge Dredd has these...(think Goldeneye and you will remember what it was like to pick up a gun that looked and sounded great - and that was back in 1996!!! Or you could play Halo 3 and try and kill your enemy with an underpowered rifle that sounds like a sewing machine..you decide creep.)...
Satisfying missions and enemies to dispatch..sure it isnt perfect but i gave it a 5 out of 5 just to balance out some harsh reviews and bring its average up to where it should be.
Hell..a zombie rampage in a mall and a shotgun in hand...I AM THE LAW!
I'm in agreeance with this post. I bought it simply because it involved Dredd (on a huge Dredd kick lately), and I'm enjoying every minute of it. (First game I've played longer than 5 minutes actually, since Civ V)
Agree with you guys completely.
Anyone who likes this game might want to give Rogue Trooper a try too, same devs and also based on a 2000AD comic and also underappriciated.
Judge Dredd was a blast, and it's a shame that not enough people seem to like fun things. I can't stand reading gaming "journalism" anymore, it's just garbage.

Seconding Strijkbout, Rogue Trooper was great too.

I mean seriously, look at that. Get the stick out of your arse.

This game is a great example of the fact that "metacritics" scores aren't for everyone. A game can still be a lot of fun, even though it has mostly bad grades. It's a FPS which does not take itself serious. That, and only that

I remember when I played the demo years ago and became so amazed over how the raindrops slide down the screen when looking up during a level with rain. :D
The physics also amazed me alot. I shot a guy and he flew back a bit from the impact of the bullet and when I shot next to another guy with the Hi-Ex ammo he flew away quite far. I dropped my jaw to the floor. :P
Agree 100% every game needs a one liner button.
