I am noticing that whenever an FMV is playing, the video and audio start to get out of sync. The longer the video (for example the procedure video you view after arriving at the command center for the first time) the more out of sync it gets until the audio can sometimes be 1-2 sentences ahead of the video. It's probably that I haven't found the correct compatibility setting yet, but, is there something I am overlooking? I don't believe that it's my PC being below recommended specs.

It's typically a sign your PC can't decode the video fast enough to keep up with the audio playback, causing the sync to drift. What processor does your PC have?
Intel Core 2 Quad
If that Core 2 Quad is faster than 1.5 GHz, then you most likely have enough horsepower. You may want to check what kind of processes might be running in the background and slowing you down (quit all other unnecessary programs).

If your graphics card is connected to a very large screen, it may be taking a performance hit from the high number of pixels it has to push. You can improve video performance by manually editing the preferences file to force the game into a lower default resolution. Just make sure the variables you enter for "last_fullscreen_mode_width" and "last_fullscreen_mode_height" are supported by your video card. The preferences file can be found at the following respective locations:
> Linux - /home/[USERNAME]/.PegasusPrimerc (~/.PegasusPrimerc)
> Mac OS X - /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Preferences/Pegasus Prime Preferences
> WinVista/64 - C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Pegasus Prime\Pegasus Prime.ini
> WinXP - C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Pegasus Prime\Pegasus Prime.ini

Each core is clocked at 2 GHz and I assume PP only utilizes one core so I have the horsepower. I will try disabling my Anti Virus as it is kind of a resource hog. I did have the resolution set to run at 640x480 by using the checkbox in the compatibility settings. However, I did notice that the lowest setting I can use in my screen resolution settings is 800x600. I will modify the pegasusprime.ini to use these settings by default and will let you know if I see any improvement.
Disabled AV, set resolution to 800x600, and finished the game but video is still lagging way behind the audio. The game itself is still very much playable and enjoyable, the sync issue is just annoying. I may just have to play around more with compatibility settings and dig into my processes to see what I can shut off while the game is running to improve performance. Love the game! Well done! Fingers crossed that someday this franchise will get another game made.....with more Arthur. Thanks for your help Gage!
