JJ2 works great on Linux using Wine, hence the creation of my wrapper for it and this thread.

According to this Wikipedia article re-released Jazz Jackrabbit 1&2 collections Linux are supporting fine these games digital collections.

Yes, JJ1 has official Linux support (via DOSBox) but not JJ2. You can simply check GOG's store pages for the games to see which platforms are officially supported:

trying to install J2+ but get this:

ERROR: One or more required files are missing.

EDIT:

Fixed, probably by deleting contents od ~/.cache/winewrap
