So I bought the JJ2 Collection, installed the Secret Files, but I get the Access Violation error, or a small black screen.

I tried the "DEP" solution but it didn't fix it.

Anyone knows how to solve this?


UPDATE: Well I can play now. Bought an SSD, installed Windows 10, donwloaded GOG and now it works.

For a better experience generally, select the added mod add-on JJ2+ from the installation goodies in GOG. Check jj2.gog.plus for detailed information.

Alternately, the Jazz2 Resurrection project if you want something multiplatform.

Okay, so i finally found an method to get the vanilla tsf and the christmas chronicles working if an ton of ppl will not suffer this issue especially like install jj2+ or use the source port.

i suggest you to try disable dep after that restart your computer to launch the game again or else you still receive same issues and make sure you have installed the preservation program update of the game which fixes the compatibility for modern hardware. (applies with other games as well like rayman 2)

enable it will result as crashes or black screen because this game is broken with dep enabled.
