HertogJan: If you can sneak up to a tank, you can use HMX explosives on them. Can't remember how many, but you'll need more than 1 to destroy a full hp tank.
True, but why not use C4 instead? It does more damage than HMX I believe. Kind of tricky to pull it off tho. It's not going to be easy trying to sneak up on a tank while the other soldiers are still alive, & it's not going to be easy trying to kill the other soldiers BEFORE you take out the tank. Cool if you managed to do it tho. :-)
Come to think of it, I think THIS is what made JA2 a strategy classic. There are just SO many ways to approach a problem in the game. You can nuke the tanks at a distance with mortars, you can play "guns at dawn" with the tank using the LAW, you can sneak in at night and plant explosives on them, you can even use cheap mercs as suicide bombers to destroy them. They just don't make games like this anymore.... :`(
