Hello. I just bought this game during the sale yesterday because it seemed really interesting. Unfortunately when I downloaded and installed the game, I have trouble running it. When it boots the screen stays dark and there's the audio cuts out abruptly. After that I have to use task manager to exit out of the game. When it comes to computer games I am NOT an expert on digging around files and such, so any help on this would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Also, I am running Windows 8.

Which game? There are about five different JA games.

Anyway, first thing to check is that the game is not installed to the Program Files folder. Use something like C:\GogGames instead.

Oh, sorry, it's Jagged Alliance 2.

Okay, so I looked into Program Files and there is a GOG.com folder with some but not all of my games from GOG in there, and Jagged Alliance 2 is one of them, along with several other games that have trouble running on my laptop, should I move JA2 out of there and somewhere else or what?

I recommend uninstalling those in Program Files and reinstall them somewhere else.

How do you do that exactly?

When installing the game click on Options to chose a different install path.
JA2 is a Windows game so you probably need to uninstall it first.

Well I installed it somewhere other than Program Files and it still does the same problem, so what now?
