I want to purchase Jagged Alliance 2 on GOG, I love this game and I haven't played it for a long time. However, according to the game info, JA2 doesn't have Windows 8 compatibility. Has anyone had problems playing JA2 on Windows 8? I just want to be sure that the game will run fine on Win 8.1 before buying it.

JA2 works fine on win 8.1 for me. The only glitch I've run across is that if you try to minimize the game (CTRL + ESC / ALT + ESC) the game will crash after a few seconds or immediately if you try to maximize it again. If you try maximizing it again, you.ll need to use task manager to close the game window because it will lock up windows desk top.

second that, works for me on 8.1 as well (except the problem which spellbender mentioned).
