Why is there no manual for Deadly Games? There are manuals for the other 10 or so gog's that I have purchased.
I'm not sure, but there might be 1 in the games directory after installation.

It is not there.
You could file a support article about it.
A manual would be very nice, I just cannot remember how everything works. I even forgot how to crouch my mercenaries. Google hasn't been very helpful yet as well.
Check out http://www.replacementdocs.com/news.php. Search for Jagged Alliance and you'll get a manual for Jagged Alliance and a handy Reference Card. There isn't anything there specifically for Deadly Games, but I think those should cover all the basic game play stuff. Better than nothing anyway. :)

Thanks for the link! I was looking for the manual, too.

Good find. It makes you appreciate how hard this must be for GOG - I assume that there is a manual out there somewhere in somebody's boxed copy - but the publishers clearly didn't keep one back!
Pressing H while in a scenario brings you through a tutorial teaching you the basics, at least in the tutorial campaign.

Personally, I find this pretty poor, although, I must admit, Deadly Games was a freebie for me.

However, I tried playing it and failed because I had no idea what I was doing nor what all the icons meant.

Surely it can't be that hard to supply a manual with the game, even a 'scanned' one, for those of us who don't remember how to play (cos we have never played it before).

This and the steam version do not have the Jagged Alliance Deadly Games manual - just the Jagged Alliance Manual, Deadly Games has many features that without a manual practically makes the game unplayable - or at least very frustrating. Replacementdocs only have the Jagged Alliance manual, and I have found nowhere that will allow me to download the Deadly Games manual, but plenty that will let me download the original Jagged Alliance manual!

If anyone can point me to the Jagged Alliance Deadly Games manual, I would appreciate it.

EDIT: Found an obscure site that has a not-so-good but readable scan. Here's the address if you're interested:

You can find some of the missing manuals in my thread here:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_gog_games_with_missing_manuals_and_where_to_find_them/post2

There is a copy of JA: Deadly Games there too uploaded by thedkm. Not sure if it's the same one you found.

For the record, archive.org is the 22y old internet archive with petabytes of various content, not an obscure site,
May want to take a look at its article on wikipedia.
