vhailor1: thx, I'm gonna do that. Nice info!

But, I put my campaign on hold when I found out my mouse wheel isn't working and I can't use any auto-only weapons... this really sucks! There should have been a keyboard key to increase the aim levels...
I assume you are the same one who posted over at the Bear's Pit, and resolved it through updated drivers. As for keyboard shortcuts, I think they were added at some point, but not sure when, or what the keys are. Let me dig through the svn log.

yeah it's all good now. It's funny though, I looked through google for this issue and no one seemed to have it. I guess I'm the only one who tried to play the game without installing mouse drivers!

That made me realize just how bad Bubba is with a Browning, I'm gonna have to give his gun to someone else....
If someone already mentioned this and I missed it then my apologies, but the problem is not 1.13. It is likely to be that you are using the "New Chance to Hit" (NCTH) system which is buggy and results in repeated misses at point blank range even. You can disable to NCTH system in the options settings before you start a new game (IIRC though once you start a game with the NCTH you may be stuck with it).

Depends on version used actually. For the stable 4870 version, the NCTH is toggled through the preferences screen (second page) and can be changed midgame. If you use the svn/unstable/SCI version (all are the same), then you set it up on the New Game screen, and to toggle it midgame you have to pass it through a debugger.
