I've just purchased the game and i'm excited to play. The whole character creation process was hilarious.

See I noticed the problem straight away, but it didn't cause isues till the isometric gameplay.

When running JA2, there is a distinct 'border area' of the screen cut away.
For quick understanding, half of the copyright text is obscured on the main menu. With that same effect around the entire border of the game window.

This obscures much of the interface during gameplay.

My machine is running with a 24inch hdtv at 1360 by 768 native (though changes in resolution does not effect the outcome of JA's resolution). The actual quality of the game is fine, it's just annoying to play with obscured game interface.

Note that this only occurs in this game. There is no such border effect on my desktop or other games.

I have set the game to administrator, disabled DPI scaling, Desktop composition, Visual themes and checked to run in 640 by 480 (which i assume it is already).

Can anyone help? I've read about resolution capabilities to the 1.13 patch, but also that it's best to play the game without it at least to get a feel for the game.

Do you have a "reset resolution" button or something similar on your monitor? Try using that. Worked for some of my games that had similar problems.
I was in the middle of writing a big description further explaining the problem when I stubled upon the answer.

For the record, I'm using an LG 24 inch HD television, connected to my PC's graphics card Via HDMI/ Mini-HDMI cable.

I believe desktop overscan was kept in check due to the Nvidia controll panel. For some reason, this would not stop overscan in Jagged Alliance 2.

The fix was a matter of making the TV know it was connected to a PC.

Using the TV remote to select input, I'd need to select the HDMI port to display the image on my TV, and that was fine for most programs. However, there was a further measure necessary to make the tv know it's connecting to a PC, through the HDMI port.

With LG televisions, hit the 'Input' button.

This will bring up all conection ports. Any greyed out ports do not have any connections.

The HDMI port will be selected already if you're using your TV as a monitor.

Move the selection icon over the HDMI button and you will notice a pop-up for the 'blue button' on your TV Remote Controller, stating 'Input Label'

Hit this and scroll down to the HDMI port you have connected to your PC, scroll across and change the input to 'PC'.

Now the PC knows you're connected to a television and thus seems to cancel out any overscan.

I suggest turning your TV off and On after this process.

Jagged Alliance works brilliant now haha.

I hope this can help others with the issue.
