I only buy game in deluxe version when will be ready offline LAN,it is very importent for many people to buy game or not.Game is really nice, thank you for this strategy.
I agree! I also would like to see server software so that people can host private remote servers for friends and family that want to play this game! It will definitely draw more attention for this RTS considering the fact that RTS games of late and popularity are more focused for centralized, service-oriented business models and this would allow for more people to play this over some other RTS games due to any concerns of playing games that require accounts, desktop launcher/store client front ends, etc etc *cough*blizzard*cough*.

This could help in selling more copies!

I would also love to see a LAN mode.

I mean online multiplayer is fine, but sometimes it's way more amusing sitting together with some friends and play with them while you can see them and drink a beer between two games. And this preferable without the need of a internet connection that fits for this plan.
As much as I want lan also to happen, it is not going to. It requires a lot of work, and as most companies have pointed out, there is no money in lan play any more, Online only or nothing. So that leaves us behind. Which is quite sad.
LAN play, too expensive ? So it was possible and a common thing in the past, when gaming wasn't as important an industry, and now it has become too expensive ?

Moreover if they're able to develop a client and a central server, common sense says they can do LAN. Easily.

The true reason is different :

1. Tracking players : how much they play, at what times, and since you're online, your gaming client will be able to track you too and will be grateful to the game for that. Tracking gives information, information is money.

2. Hidden DRM. The game is DRM-free, yes, BUT... you have to create an account online for multiplayer, and link it to a product key. This digital system controls your rights to play the game, but nooo, it's not DRM they're telling you.

This is one point where GOG failed, but that doesn't mean it can't be changed.

Of course it is too expensive for lan multiplayer, Think how much money steam gets off their Steam Lan, not actual lan. A ridiculously huge amount of money. You think any game company will be willing to give up that cash income? as for DRM, Win10 apparently will shut down if you don't keep a connection to Microsoft, Steam will shut down if you don't get a connect after what, 28 days, if you decide to go offline completely. DRM is the future. I also hear that ads will be tried in a few games soon to be released., So imagine playing a game, it pauses, or in multiplayer ( you get killed) while try to skip an ad that pops up in the middle of a fight. I would love to hear how the company explains that bs.

Not to mention Online only also defeats the Pirated games versions also. So that is a 2 for 1 win, Money+ anti Piracy = win.

The saddest thing is how so many people just give up and let them slice and dice the games to squeeze all the money out of them, putting the most drm on everything. And they knowingly let them do it. Try to argue anything against what they say, and Well, You got all the crap from Toxic Community from steam. You definitely see that when you see a win10 game, and you say it should also support win7. Then hundreds of win10 users show up screaming their bs about how it should remain win10, they got what they wanted, why are you even in the thread.
