Iron Harvest - Please Linux version
Sheep_wielder: we will also focus on Linex. It also depends on the demand:)

There is also the demand on GOG, those who can’t speak at Steam!
Thank you very much:)

While I usually avoid ⅩⅩth century war games, this World Of 1920+ really seems to click with me. Colour me interested in a Linux release, especially as we did not get enough real time strategy games in the last years.
Indeed looks interesting. I am generally interested in cool multiplayer games for Linux.
Hey guys. Iron Harvest Community Manager here, also known as sheep_wielder.

We hope if all goes well with the PC release and then console release that we will have a successful game with the time and resources to port the game over to Linux and Mac. We've been able to do this with our previous game and we want to do it. It's just a matter of time :)

You should approach GOG and see if you can get developer status. It would be good if people know you are an official representative. :)

Nice, you can count me as a buyer as soon as the Linux version is a reality ;)

By the way, are you the studio behind Battle Worlds: Kronos?

So, any news on this front?

What I’ve seen from Iron Harvest makes it look like my kind of game, but I am not going to pay ~30€ for a Windows-only game ;)

I hope a ping every couple years is not too much ;)

Is a Linux build of Iron Harvest still a thing that could happen, or have you moved on to something else since then? I’m not asking for an ETA or anything like that, I only wish to know if it is still somewhere in a TODO-list or if I can stop holding my breath.
I ran some tests trying to run the Windows build of Iron Harvest on Linux, sadly it does not work with regular WINE as it is affected by the following bug: WineHQ Bugzilla - Bug 50277 - Haven intro video does not play.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with running Iron Harvest on Linux (Fedora 41) using Heroic Games Launcher (Flatpak). I downloaded the game directly from Heroic, which is linked to my GOG account. After syncing my saves (the GUI froze during the process, but all saves were successfully downloaded), I played through the mission I loaded without any minor, or major issues. The game ran smoothly, and I only encountered a minor error notification when closing the game, but it didn’t affect gameplay or my ability to relaunch the game. For anyone hesitant to try the game on Linux, I can confirm that it’s playable with the right setup. I didn’t need to do any manual configuration beyond using Heroic Games Launcher, which made the process straightforward. I’m really enjoying the game so far, and I hope this encourages more Linux users to give it a try. It would be fantastic to see a native Linux version in the future, but for now, running it via Heroic is a solid option. Cheers!
