One of the cool things to do in strategy games is of course to 'customize' your army, heroes & have a nonlinear storyline. For example, in Starcraft or Panzer General you can choose certain upgrades, make certain story choices etc.

I read that you can't keep a core army in Iron Harvest. & that the upgrades of your hero units vanish after each mission. I also got the impression that the storyline is highly linear?

So, my question would be whether there is:

(1) any kind of customization of your army or characters
(2) multiple endings or choices during the game
