EnforcerSunWoo: They sadly did the same thing with 1.1 and many were left downloading the official patch from Void Point instead. Took quite a while for GOG to update it too. So not the first time that they dropped the ball concerning Ion Fury. Although to be honest I would of thought that they would of learned a lesson from it, but nope.

Crow.707: Where do I download 2.0 patch from Voidpoint? Waiting weeks for patch here is getting ridiculous...
Sadly, afaik there actually isn't one this time.

Finally somebody from Voidpoint commented on what's happening...

Thanks for the info. So it's a problem on Voidpoints side just as I thought. No reason to bash GoG...
So in the Reddit post someone from Voidpoint says:
"We're having some issues with distributing our build to GOG, and this is partially due to using a slightly slower method than some other GOG releases.

I apologize, and we are ironing out those details now, but we're also trying to apply some hotfixes to the GOG build before it even goes live in order to fix some issues we found through our Steam release."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you agree that this implies that either
1. they haven't actually pushed a build on GOG yet since they're hoping to hotfix it before going live or
2. GOG QA is currently working through the 2.0 build they were sent, but Voidpoint is simultaneously sending them hotfixed builds, which presumably resets the work done by GOG QA every time?
So has there been any update on when are we getting the 2.0 update?

The problem here is the lack of communication which falls squarely on the vendor who sold me the game and is delivering the update. How about an official statement from GOG on when to expect the update instead of someone having to trace it down on Reddit? That would go a long way to restore confidence to the consumer base.

Just like when they bent the knee on Devotion and went radio silent, they fail miserably when it comes to delivering less favorable news to their customers. They just go quiet and hope it will go away. That's my problem here.

How should GoG know that there even is an update when Voidpoint fails to communicate this? How should they enforce an update when Voidpoint simply don't deliver it. I don't think Steam ever forced a developer to publish an update. Don't get me wrong I'm no GoG white knight but in this case IMHO Voidpoint simply dropped the ball. They seem to have no interest in the platform as there are no achievements either...

I was just about to ask about this build, only to find out I am not the only one angry here.
I wouldn´t go as far as saying Voidpoint dropped the ball, but having somebody from their team with orange text coming here and writing a short "sorry guys, there´s been a delay but it´s coming" message wouldn´t really hurt them.

I am glad this patch is out, but as others before me, I am angry that actually somebody has to dig through some fucking reddit site to get some answer from developers, instead of THEM going here directly and post it here themselves.

I hope we wouldn´t have to wait a month(!) after releasing Aftershock, since I would like to play it day one.

I'm not from Voidpoint, but from a different 3DR team (unannounced game so no tangerine-colour text from me yet...), however I am in the know on the situation. The team did not forget about GOG customers. The 2.00 patch is actually a victim of miscommunication on GOG's side, and while we were trying to get a hold of them to see what's up, some minor issues came up so work on a hotfixed 2.02 build started.

Thank you, I am glad somebody from 3D Realms responded, I appreciate that :)
Looking forward to 2.02 and Aftershock as well.

Any chance you guys would have your own Galaxy API access, so you could upload patches by yourself and not wait for GOG check?

While it would be very helpful to have all the Galaxy tools at the ready, the team does not have the appropriate setup (the lead dev uses Linux, no less, and we all know the implications for that with Galaxy :( ).

Oh, I had no idea it´s only for Windows, I am using offline installers.
Suddenly I understand all the people here clamoring for better Linux support across the whole store, Galaxy included.

So instead of that dev just running VM for publishing updates (I'm just going to ignore very likely possibility that there are other people on the team that have access to Windows machine that could push that update), we have to wait weeks/months for update to get to us? That's just ridiculous.
On the discord, the devs indicated that it came down to the Galaxy API and them not updating. They are now having issues with a GOG rep not communicating, but they are trying to work on it.
With all this hustle, can't the devs just release the patch on the game's official site?
