The newest windows-version of "into the breach" isn't working with the ITB-ModLoader. Unfortunately they don't update the project anymore and gog doesn't provide downloads of old versions. So no new maps, no new enemys and no new units for the game anymore!
Anybody knows where to download older versions of the game? Virus-free, of course.
Thank you in advance.
Due to forum regulations, I can only really give an incomplete suggestion. If you commit the sin of installing GOG Galaxy it possible to install, but not download the offline backups of, four additional versions older than the latest one. Due to the infrequency of updates for this game these versions date back three years from the time of writing.
Thank you! This is an interesting idea. Maybe...with fiddleling around...it was possible to extract the internal download from gog-galaxy somehow?! I will look into that. Maybe ITB-Mod-Loader isn't working because of the ITB-advanced edition? I think it was released 2022. The last 3 updates are for this version. Before, the last update for regular version was May 28th, 2020 (ver 1.2.4). The newest ITB-mod-version is from Jan 2024...
ok, I tried Galaxy now in a Win10-VM. It was painfully slow, of course. I can confirm that switching to ITB-version 1.2.88 (or older) is possible. Newest version is 1.2.93. With version 1.2.88, ITB-modloader works. Unfortunately it's not possible extracting ITB from Galaxy to run it standalone. I copied the folder, but without success. Copying the whole Galaxy-folder did bring no luck as well. I'm on Linux and Galaxy just doesn't work in wine. I also tried the installer - no success. I know there is a linux-version of ITB, but it isn't supported by the mod-loader.

This seems to be a dead-end, unless GOG decides to make older versions available in the download-section of its website. An update of the ITB-modloader was also nice. But the developers don't react on requests.
