Dear devs,

Would you be kind enough to release this gem of a game for GNU/Linux distros ?

Thanks in advance.

Keep up with the good work. God bless you.

They already said a Linux version is coming. ;)
And while waiting for it, the game runs perfectly on wine.

Indeed, it does though not out of the box. Had to winetrick vcrun2015 to get mfc140u.dll as required. Otherwise, it just runs fine.

We'll see... I somehow doubt it... Well, if it were not for SteamOS, I'd seriously doubt it'll ever be released... We'll see !

Please Devs prove me wrong !

I generally will not buy a game if I need wine to run it. This is something that I'd like to play on my laptop, so a Linux version is a must.

This game will be an immediate buy if/when a Linux version was released.
It runs perfect in Wine. While I prefer a native version, I cannot tell the difference while it is running. I have seen some glitches or performance issues with some games in Wine, but this is not one of them.
The devs for this game have said they sent the Linux version to GOG for release. This was back in October, and the conversation can be found here: https://subsetgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33677

When will this be available to us?

EDIT:sorry, wrong game. Was reading subsetgames's forums, and wasn't paying attention.

Linux version of FTL, which you refer to, is already available. But this is ITB forum...

Here's an ITB-speific quote from Subset Games' community manager on Reddit from a month or so ago. It doesn't really give any useful detail, but it's recent confirmation that the Linux port is still something they're working on.

Yep, still in the works. Sorry for the wait.
Edit: Oh hmm. GOG is marking me as a developer here. I didn't work on ITB and haven't worked with Subset Games, so ignore the yellow ^_^

In typical GOG fashion your developer color/status is for all forums. You know, if you've developed one game, you've developed all of them. ;-) And in your case, you've probably worked on more (Linux) games than any of the other people with developer status on GOG.
Still waiting for the option to delete posts...

Anyway, looking forward to buying the Linux port!

Another thread without any news, but they are still working on it.
It's been more than 1 1/2 years, makes me wonder what takes them so long. If they need help they should just ask for it.

I'm starting to lose hope. I bought this game with the promise that it will be releasing on Linux soon after.
