So, here's the story. Just bought Interstate 82 on sale (always wanted to finish it, but never had a chance). Clearly, it isn't Windows 10 compatible, but there were people here, on GOG forums, who claimed that it's still playable and all you need to do is to delete AcLayers.dll from your Windows folder and disable the fullscreen optimization on the compatibility tab. OK, I did disable fullscreen optimization and got into the main menu (without it the game just won't start at all). The problem is - when I actually try to start the game from main menu, it just crashes. Again, totally predictable, since it looks like that exact AcLayers.dll problem everybody's talking about. But what's giving me the hard time here is the fact that there are multiple copies of AcLayers.dll in my Windows folder (Windows 10, 64bit) AND the system won't let me to delete any of them no matter what I do.So, I'm kind of lost here. Is there a working fix for this game? Maybe some .dll to replace, or something like that? I really want to make it work, but I'm pretty noobish in this kind of things. Any wise men want to share their wisdom? :) Thanks.

Did you happen to make any progress with this?

I changed the permissions on AcLayers.dll (and AcGenral.dll) as they were both causing problems and simply renamed them, rather than deleting. I still crash on ntdll.dll.

I wrapped the game with dgVoodoo for Glide support, this allowed me to actually see the loading bar for a stage, but still crashed at the 1/4 mark.

Any suggestions are welcome, short of running a VM or dual booting...
